i still have a pretty full head of hair, i am thinning pretty well on the back, or vertex part of my head. (you can see some scalp), but there is still hair there. just very thin. also maybe a little receding starting around the hair line in the front.(1) my questions are,....does everyone that gets results using finasteride SHED??.........(2) and if i shed terminal hairs that i have now, are they going to grow back as terminal hairs or vellus hairs?........ i have been sitting on my finasteride script for two weeks now reluctant to start it because of fear of sides and bad shedding...........................thx in advance for your comments..........................

I never got a "shed", but everyone sheds 50-100 hairs a day if they are not balding. Balding men just don't grow the hair back. The could shed more than that if all the hairs life cycles are shortening rapidly. Many experienced posters on here have gone in cycles of shedding and in the end had more hair than when they started, so don't worry about it. Or at least don't let it stop you from getting on finasteride.
