Not a common hair loss condition?

Hi guys! I was wondering if people can maybe give me pointers. I don't know much about hair loss, but I am kind of thinking that maybe the one that I've got is because of some kind of disease or something, I tell you why, please let me know if that's all wrong:

- Exactly 1 year ago I had a head full of hair. Actually, I was getting comments on my hair my whole life that I had A LOT of hair. Then hair loss began one day, I even remember the day my hair started falling out. And now 1 year later I went from having full head to nearly bald. I don't think that's normal hair loss which usually takes more than 1 year in most men to lose their hair, even without treatment.

- There is no family history of hair loss. My grandparents who are over 80 years old still has head full of hair.

- I don't have high testosterone, because I barely have any facial hair.

- I'm 22.

Can it be like a thyroid problem or something else that can be cured? Or is it definitely androgenic, and I'm just loosing it at a super fast speed?

Can anyone think of any other reasons why I might be loosing my hair? I went to a doctor, got my blood checked, she said Iron was on the lower side, but not low enough. Plus I'm taking Iron supplements, and that was just a local GP. I should probably go do some more serious tests if the condition would seem unnatural to people who know a thing or two about hair loss.

Any help appreciated! THANKS!

I don't know enough about this stuff to give a good opinion but f I were you I'd pay to see a good dermatologist an get their verdict. If you can, take photographs from just before you lost your hair.

what is "nearly bald"? We need picture evidence to see what you are talking about, or references to your current hair and the Norwood scale
