A trim every 10 days does the job for me.

30 seconds in front of the mirror every 10 days isn't that bad.

you don't have to trim all your nose hair if some don't give you discomfort or aren't exposed.
if you feel discomfort due to one strand of nose hair, you can use tweezers to pluck that out. if there are nose hairs exposed, cut those short.

this way, your nose hair will still be able to serve its purpose by blocking the passage effectively from foreign particles.
