Short story--44, on minoxidil and propecia for 10 years. Very good maintenance until about 1 year ago. Hair has started to visibly thin and recede. I am assuming that the current regimen is losing its effectiveness. I have a prescription for dutasteride, which I have been thinking about adding once per week. Has anyone had any success with it just once a week along with finasteride? If so, any shedding once adding it once a week? Please also let me know if you think I am a Norwood 2 or 3. Thanks!

Hair looks good to me man, I really dont see the thinning in fact you have quite thick hair imo. And your 44 with that hair too, that's pretty amazing. I'd say on the Norwood scale probably a 1.5, maybe a 2 at the 'worst'.

My dad has a hairline like yours. No baldness on his side of the family at all. Around 40, his hair slightly thinned but hes still maintained his hair. I think your good

Taking dutasteride once a week with finasteride might help a bit. I believe taking dutasteride once a week preforms about the same as finasteride every day, but seeing as you're thinking of taking finasteride as well it might work. Honestly though I'd be looking to take dutasteride twice a week just to be on the safe side. I've been on finasteride+dutasteride for a while and have maintained great.
