if hair transplant surgery takes strips of hair follicles from the back/sides of you head. Do those donor areas regrow?

also if you have a hair transplant, say at the front or crown, and then areas that aren't transplanted but still outside the horseshoe start to succumb to male pattern baldness, then you'll look ridiculous right?. Meaning you'll have to keep going back for further hair transplants, but if you haven't got the money, you're screwed.

so that means you'll have hair on the top but bald patches at the donor areas! seems like an odd trade-off

The more I read, the more I'm discovering that hair transplants aren't the miracle cure that some people make them out to be. Even people who've spent tens of thousands and gone for multiple operations still have to take Propecia, and there's always the danger than untransplanted parts will fall out at a later date.
