Non Symetrical hair loss - why?

I was wondering if anyone knew why sometime people lose their hair in a non symterical pattern.

For example my right side hairline has been decimated, I'd say I was easily a NW3 on this side, yet my left side is barely past the NW1.5 stage and I'd be surprised if it was more than a NW2.

So why is it that my hair loss is so different on one side of my head to the other?

There's no real reason behind it.

Lots of things in nature aren't perfectly symmetrical.

the head is not symmetrical. in some ways it's like two seperate parts

I have the same thing, it is pretty annoying and seems to continue deteriorating as the other side maintains. But like you said, it least it's only one of them and not both.

Yep, my left is way worse than my right temple hairline, and is taking to the treatment at a slower rate as well.
