I'm 37 and been using Monoxidil tablets and lotion since I was 17 except when I was on a working holiday in Toronto Canada 11 years ago. While I was there I found this place where I went in 2-3 times a week for about half an hour and they applied some type of lotion to me scalp and then I sat there with a heat pad over my head for about half and hour.

The results were great! The guy who ran it was Indian and he recommended I stop using Minoxidil, which I did and my hair actually got a little thicker.

When I returned home to Australia I went back to using Minoxidil and also Dutasteride, but I'm getting tired of the side effects from the Minoxidil (extra facial hair, poor skin)

Does anyone know what the treatment was I was receiving n Toronto? I've looked on the internet but cant find it.

How long were you doing treatment for?
Sounds like something with blood flow which might have the opposite effect for many of us.
