Plenty. Some conditions that were once automatic death sentences are being managed and lives are being prolonged. A cure for hairloss (a vanity pursuit) doesn't even come close in importance level. Not that I don't want one, mind you...but let's not be silly about its deserved rank.

Speaking of gay products, it looks like the OP could accommodate.

There is a treatment pretty much for anything out there if you got the cash. Look at Magic Johnson he is still alive after 15+ years with aids... Scientists are cloning animals but they can't clone hair yet do you guys believe this bullshit? The problem is that nobody is really focusing on researching hair loss with billions of dollars like we do on cancer and aids ...Small individual companies create some product that makes a buzz for a while until people realize that it ain't worth and next month move to something new. Fine you might say there are some that work, but do you want to spend the rest of your lives applying minoxidil 2 times a day, eat vitamins, take finasteride etc. and in the end you might only maintain and see no regrowth?

Get a clue, man. Fixing genetic illnesses (which is what hairloss is) is one of the hardest thing known to man. It's not through a shortage of money or effort that these cures aren't materialising.

those bastards. imaging focusing on actual life threatening conditions instead of male pattern baldness.

you are aware that though billions are being spent on researching these conditions, there are still no out and out cures yet? oddly enough throwing money at problems does not equal a solution.

and are hairloss treatments that inadequate? with HIV for example if you take a shiteload of drugs every day for the rest of your life that life will be prolonged for quite some time. available hairloss treatments are at least equal to this, as they prolong the life of your hair.

in short, wheres your head at?

I didn't mention that its at the same ranking as cancer/aids, I simply mentioned that incredible amounts of money have been contributed towards its cause and they haven't found a cure... so lets not be silly and run off on unneeded tangents.

I feel sorry for you man you are completely brainwashed. Thats what they want you to think there is no treatment... How would their product sell? If there was enough money why most of these products are not even FDA approved.

solving genetic diseases is very hard. Money cant fix it. Science just does not apply well to diseases. No scientific techniques we have really work for analyzing the human body, not to mention testing and observing results are very time consuming and expensive. Think how hard it is just to see if what your testing is even working or not

treating hair loss is not a vanity prosute. It is about being able to experience the basic joys of life, like having sex with someone attractive at age 20. maybe hairwegoagain thinks we should just put people on life support and not make quality of life a priority, but I think it is.

I agree with college...I mean yes I'd much rather have male pattern baldness than cancer or HIV/AIDS but think of how much more productive we could all be as human beings if we weren't worried about our hair and how others see us. I wish I could just not care. Maybe we could be contributing to those causes...

See? It's due to your mental state, not a physical condition. It doesn't negatively affect your life if you don't care, as it doesn't affect your ability to function as a human being in any significant manner unless you're insecure about it. I wish there was a cure too, but to place it in importance as equal or greater than ANY currently incurable disease that is physical health-threatening is an insult to all those who have such conditions.
