No results from finasteride... How long to wait before I give up?

Here's my story: I started taking rogaine 2 months before propecia. In that 2 month period my hairline recovered to the point it is now. It hasn't made any change since in 7 months on rogaine + finasteride.

finasteride did give me the achy balls at first but that's about it.

So you got regrowth and stabilization without any side effects? Don't know what you're complaining about!

That's not entirely accurate. I got regrowth on 2 months of rogaine alone.

According to the side effects board, the achy balls are a minor symptom at first that indicate that sexual sides will probably appear later.

I don't get why people expect finasteride to regrow all of your hair back.

The main job of finasteride is to stop further hair loss, which it sounds like it is doing.

Any regrowth is a bonus. Hairlines are difficult to restore.

I expected it to because I am young and my male pattern baldness pattern is still weak and early. Maintenance is not a goal for me, just regrowth.

Just remember, maintaining your hair is a whole site better than losing it! I'm still losing it at the hairline, but it slowed down the shedding TREMENDOUSLY. I'd still call that a success
