No result from dutas- what next?

I am in my mid-20s and male pattern baldness started 5 years ago.

I started using finasteride (from a local pharmacy with a doctor's prescription) cut in 1/4 four years ago. However, upon seeing no result (no regrowth, didn't seem to slow down the progress),
I added the Kirkland 5% minoxidil to my regimen a year later.

To my great dismay and disappointment, I didn't get any result from the two either, so I decided to add dutasteride, ordered from reputable online pharmacies.

Beginning in early 2014, I was taking 1.25 mg finasteride, 0.5 mg duats and applying Kirkland minoxidil daily once at night.

Until now, I haven't seen any changes.
I lose as much hair as I did before, if not more, and hair has noticeably thinned. The density is very low all throughout as well.
My hairline has receded steadily and my biggest concern these days is losing hair in crown area.

I don't know what I should do next. I am not hoping for regrowth anymore. All I want at this point is to halt the progress until a little later to get hair transplant.

Should I change finasteride brand? Or switch to Rogaine foam instead of the Kirkland brand?

I don't want to give up.

Please someone shed some light on my circumstance.

Thanks

Have you taken a blood test? It could be interesting to know whether your DHT values have been decreased at all. I read in another thread some people seem to be immune to 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors (finasteride and dutasteride). Maybe you're one of them. In that case you could check out RU. As your hairline is receding, it's most definitely androgenic alopecia. Really weird even duta wouldn't stop this..

Either way, changing a brand or the form of your minoxidil won't make a difference.

You can't always expect a change in terms of cosmetic difference. Maintenance is what you should expect. However if that doesn't even happen with dutasteride you should look into RU58841. A combination of dutasteride + RU58841 is that strong that it will halt Androgenetic Alopecia pretty much in everyone from my point of view.

My suggestion is to share some before and after photos of your situation as sometimes you might not be the best judge of your situation and see yourself way different than the rest of the world. You might be slowing things down or still experience synchronized shedding. Sometimes Androgenetic Alopecia is so aggressive that the meds just don't beat genetics.
