No minoxidil regrowth - drop it for spironolactone or use both?

So I've been on minoxidil (hairline, 5% X2 per day) for about 2 years.

I've seen very little regrowth while using it and lately I've thinned at the hairline so I've added 2% spironolactone (though I'll probably switch to 5% soon). I was wondering if I should finish with minoxidil and just use spironolactone or use both?

Has anyone had good results with spironolactone on the hairline where they didn't do very well with minoxidil?

Thanks.

Yes, I'm still on propecia. It's slowed recession down to a crawl. I lose a bit each year. This year though the effects of DHT on my hairline are more obvious. Nasty thinning appearing. Check my pics at the bottom.

Touch wood dropping minoxidil can't hurt me as I'm very doubtfull it's even doing anything for existing hair.

I'll try 2% spironolactone twice a day for a while and see how it goes. Thanks.

I enjoy a spironolactone / Tricomin combo.

Good to hear from an old poster again Global!

3 years is the longest I've ever known anyone to be on Dutasteride. Hope it continues to work for you.

Wow, you're hair actually looks fuller wet/slicked back than dry.

Are you sure you're thinning in the front? from the light in those pics, its hard to tell.
