No Chest Hair Yet, Will Finasteride Prevent It?

I don’t know how many people on here started finasteride at 18 (or younger), but I’m planning on starting finasteride soon and I’m just wondering if it will prevent chest hair from ever growing since I only have “fuzz” that is light brown (my hair color is dark brown). I wouldn’t really care if it slowed down growth (seemingly common) or took a while for me have chest hair even if it wasn’t thick, so it’s not an issue for me. I’m just curious if this happens or not.

Why would you even want chest hair, lol?
I can't answer your question though, it might or might not affect your body hair

I kind of don’t want it so I don’t have to shave, so I’m just curious as to whether finasteride would do anything like slow down the growth of body hair.

Moderate chest hair is attractive to adult women.

Having back hair must suck, since you can't really do much about it for as much as I know. I've got some random hairs on my shoulders, but there's only like 5-6 of them, although if I don't pluck them out, they reach about 4-5 cms in lenght, which is random as f***..lol
So you're saying that in your opinion minoxidil is causing the increased body hair of yours? @michel sapin
also, how's your maintenance going since you started fina?

How about beard. I still can't grow full thick beard. Will finasteride have any effect on it?

I’ve been on finasteride since 19, I’m now 22 and my chest and facial hair has continued to develop throughout. However this may be down to the minoxidil.
Thank you, this is what I was looking for. And I’m guessing your hair has been maintained as well?

Will you being upping your dose or switching to dutasteride? How long do you think it will keep your hair looking how it is now? Sorry for the questions, just curious since I’m starting on it soon.

No worries, ask away :) I have started Dermarolling for the past month with no results so far. I am going to give this to the 3 month mark and reassess my hair situation, if i am still losing ground i am going to hop on Dutasteride 3x a week to begin with.

I think i have maybe another 1-2years maintenance left in me even with extreme treatments as my hairloss is very aggressive.
