Is Nizoral 1% just as effective as 2%? Also, would it be safe to switch directly from .5mg to 1mg a day?

In terms of treating hairloss, yes the nizoral 1% is said to be "about as" effective as the 2%.
And 1mg finasteride daily is the normally prescribed dosage. Shouldn't hurt. But, be on the lookout for negative sides. If they occur - give it a few weeks at 1mg daily to see if they subside or not.
