I'm trying to understand the theory as to why you would only use this stuff a few times a week?

There isn't any medical reason why you couldn't use it everyday, but most people don't as it is quite harsh and also dries the hair out quite a lot.

However if your scalp can tolerate it then use it everyday if you like.

I recently ran out of my second shampoo (NANO) and so began using Nizoral everyday, I didn't have any problems.

A theoretical risk of disrupting the natural flora balance that exists in/on the skin.

As I use Nizoral 4 times a week I also wash with 'Sanex' which stimulates natural skin flora.

It is worth pointing out the inherent risks in using Nizoral twice a week, it has been posted on here many times that long term users end up 'feeling' (whatever they mean by that) more homosexual, obviously this stuff is not turning people gay as such, it is just that after extended periods of use there is a tendency towards a 'homosexual mood'

This was reported back as far as 2001 (Dr D morailes) and has been investigated by no less than five seperate trials.
