Itch goes away because it works as an Anti inflam also a mild DHT blocker.

I will find a study later done in Asia of a control group who regrew A LOT (and I mean alot) of hair on ONLY Nizoral 2% Cream!!!!!

I've seen that study, really impressive results i guess leaving 2% keto shampoo for 10min on your scalp will be similar treatment like that, don't know where i've read but leaving keto too long on your scalp isn't good

Well the company that makes Nizoral says the active ingredient stays in your scalp in therapeutic concentrations for about a week after use, so 10 mins per application is probably pretty sufficient. However I think that probably has more to do with the anti-dandruff aspect, and I imagine the anti-androgenic properties peter out shortly after washing it off your scalp. That's probably why people who leave it on all night have better regrowth than people who just use it in the shower.

I don't see how using Nizoral everyday could be a good idea. Seem like it would damage the hair shaft and be too harsh on the scalp.

Maybe 3-4 times per week it's optimal to have effect on the Androgenetic Alopecia

i am now using 2% every couple of days and a 1% generic called nizorelle the rest of week. so im solely on keto shampoo.

was wondering whether nizoral causes sheds? heard it can.

i have noticed my scalp is shiny. not sore or anything but instead of white it is like dark and shiny. thoughts?

I started uing nizoral more than a month ago. I have to say that my hair feels somehow healthier. I use it once every 3-4 days.

I wish I started with nizoral in the first place. I was on revita for 6 months, which I still use the days I don't use nizoral. I like Revita but nizoral is the real deal.

There are a few black spots, ie new terminal hair coming out, in my hairline. I don't know if those are minoxidil hairs or a result of nizoral. Probably a combination of both. As long as it can prevent further recession for the time being, I'll be happy.

Isn't everyday a little too harsh on your hair?

I use it every third day, with conditioner straight after and it seems to be doing the trick.

There is a study of using nizoral cream everyday with really impressive regrow pictures, i guess using conditioner it's must after every use of nizoral because that thing really dries your hair

I saw the pictures. Very impressive for 3 of 6 men. Prescription means $60 a year just for a prescription though. And the stuff is pricy. The 2% topical is pricier. I think the reason 1% Nizoral did as well as 2% is because the study was only 6 months. I'm going to shop around for some cheaper 2%.

I use Nizoral about every 3 days.

Since I've been using it consistently, my hair doesn't get nearly as oily as it used to, and I have basically no dandruff - something I used to struggle with quite a bit in the past.

In fact, the last time I got my hair cut, the hairdresser told me my hair and scalp were in "excellent condition". Nizoral FTW!

the study i see was done with cream. Is this cream available? And is the shampoo just as effective do you think?

Yes, you can buy the cream. Depending where you get it, you get I think 15 or 30 grams of cream for about $15. It is 2%. Yes, it is stronger than the shampoo since it sits there longer and you don't have all those detergents in your pores so long. But compare 15 or 30 grams of cream to 180mL of shampoo for the same price, and it gets kind of annoying. Buy the cream only if you got a thin spot I guess. I would not put it on the whole head at that price.
