People have too much bacteria on their head. => This causes itching. => People with bacteria on their head have a feeling of inflammation on their head. => They wash their hair with Nizoral. => The feeling of inflammation goes away. => They say "Nizoral has anti-inflammatory effects".

Now you can argue whether the destruction of the bacteria results from the anti-fungal properties or from the androgen deprivation in the scalp. Fact is, it reduces inflammation.

Wrong! :)

Inflammation is a medical term for immune-attacks by T-cells. Ketoconazole does not fight this inflammation, it kills fungals. Of course it helps reducing fungal-related itching, but that's not inflammation.

ichtiness is not caused by bacteria, but by fungals. ALL people have fungals in their hair; that's just a spot where they like to settle. It's completely natural and there's no need to do anything about it. In some cases, the precense of the fungals result in dandruff, which can be unconfortable. In that case, one can consider using an antiifungal like ketoconazole.

Ketoconazole, by incidence, happens to work in fighting male pattern baldness as well, but NOT by killing fungals. It works bij blocking the AR and reducing the activity of 5AR.

But I'm repeating myself now
