hi, ill start this post just saying that i know this isnt the general consensus and i definitely didnt expect it when i started using nizoral shampoo. but my experience from aboutttt - 4 months of using nizoral 2% shampoo (using it religiously every 2-3 days for about the last 2 months maybe?) is this:

before i started taking it, i had a constantly itchy scalp. i mean really itchy, and very very tender or sore to touch. every single time i had a shower id lose clumps of hair - not just a clump, but probably 2 or 3 bundles of 20 - 30 hairs in a shower. it was horrible. it blocked up the drain and vacuum cleaner all the time. since taking it, ive found that i probably lose 10 hairs at the most per shower, often only 1 or 2. i still have quite a bit of hair in the brush after a few weeks (could someone tell me how much hair youre meant to pick up in the brush? like from about a month or so? meant to as in how much would a non balding person get) but washing my hair is no longer depressing and upsetting.

i still havent started on minoxidil or finasteride due to unemployment and the fact that they still scare the crap out of me to be honest. but i was wondering if anyone here had had any similar experiences or had any thoughts on the fact that i seem to be losing about 5x less hair than i did?

cheers :)

well, nizoral has positive effects on the hair, its growth and its diameter, although not supposed to be enough as a single treatment for aggressive hair loss.
