Nizoral makes my head itch!

To my understanding, I was under the impression that nizoral was supposed to reduce inflammation and the head itch associated with thinning and hair loss. I've never really got that itch except occasionally and it really wasn't that bad. But ever since I started on Nizoral, I've been getting that accessive head itch/biting feeling pretty much all the time. I'm pretty sure its the nizoral, since I am on nothing else. Any advice would be helpful.

No, Nizoral is mean for dandruff inflammation, but of cos, it does help somewhat for other condition. Anyway, I think your scalp might be allergy to the active ingredient. I read that, that could happen. I personally doesnt really like this shampoo but I have to use it once a week due to accutane hair loss.

Stop using it. You could be allergic to the active ingredient.

Could it be counter-productive to continue using it? as in increased hairloss? and what should I use in its place?

Maybe your scalp is too dry to being with?

Also , use it less because it has a massive drying effect. Every 3-4 days. Counter the drying effect with a good conditioner.
