Nizoral, itchiness, and shedding

I started using Nizoral after reading about it on this forum. I use it twice a week. Since I began, though, my head has begun to itch badly (I had little problem with itchiness before), and my hair loss seems to have accelerated quite a bit. Has anyone else experienced a period of increased itchiness with Nizoral? Is this something normal that I should push through, or is Nizoral just going to make things worse in my particular case?
