why do people only use nizoral 2 to 3 a weel ,why not everyday ,is there some reason for not using it every day

yeah i don't think you will receive any additional benefit from everyday use and may be too harsh on the scalp since it has a tendency to dry your hair and scalp out.

i dont use nizoral everyday, but i do shampoo everytime i shower, almost everyday. my hair gets oily if i dont do it.

I use Nizoral 2% everyday and it makes my hair feel alot thicker, I’ve also had good regrowth but that probably due to the other meds I am taking. If you scalp can handle Nizoral everyday than I would highly recommend it.

I am taking a break from shampooing for a little while as I was using nizoral a lot and now my sensitive scalp is a little sore.

I think the Nizoral should be used sparingly if you have a sensitive scalp.

That is my 4 cents.

there are nizoral alternatives. they also make a 2% lotion which can be used every day. harder to apply if you still have a lot of hair left but i use it as i dont like to shampoo more than once a month.

there are some very impressive results pics using a 2% lotion every day, im sure someone can post the link here, dont have it on hand at the moment.

the 2% is available over the counter here in aus, not sure about any where else.

yeah 2% is only available prescription here in the US. I had to get it on ebay recently, and before I purchased a couple bottles when I visited canada back in the day.

Yes it's the dry scalp and itchiness that some people suffer from it. Also the fact that somebody else mentioned that the ketoconazole will keep working for a couple of days.

I use ketoconazole almost every day since I use Revita. This has other ingredients though which facilitate the need/ability to use it every day, or at least 5x/week. It has EMU and Aloe which should help mitigate the itchy side effect some people get when using ketoconazole too much, the Rooibos extract might help with this too.
