I’ve been using the 1% solution of Nizoral for about a month now, and have noticed a few hairs falling out here and there. My hairline hasn’t even started to receede, but I’m taking extra precaution so it doesn’t start receeding. I’ve been eating more fruit and vegetables, more beans, etc.

I actually use Nizoral for dandruff reasons, but recently discovered that it can be used to prevent hairloss.

Is it normal to shed a few hairs after starting to use Nizoral?

Well from past studies Nizoral does kind of act the same as 2% Minoxidil. So if it does it is normal to see hair shed go up a bit as it is going to be restored with stronger hair. But let me also say that Nizoral alone will not do much. You need to look at the problem that is causing your hair loss which is DHT if it's genetics and stop it from the inside using Finasteride and from the outside you can help more by having a healthy scalp so hair can grow back, Nizoral would definitely do that for you. It makes a good scalp environment for new hairs to thrive in.
