I was just reading a comment by Bryan over at HLH where he said he felt creams may be more effective than liquids (for absorption). So I was wondering if anyone has any experience of Nizoral cream. Any results? Any recommendations? Anyone even tried it? I'd never heard of it till recently.

Thanks...

I have wondered about using ketoconazale creams instead of the shampoo myself.

I say this for those who are really opposed to using SLS shampoo's for a way to get keto as I know some are fanatical about not using shampoo.

I'm not very keen on shampoo myself. It appears Ket is present in the scalp a couple of days after using nizoral so I'm wondering what extra benefit the cream might offer. I buy the immuno/anti-inflammatory argument to some extent. I know Boru leaves the Ket shampoo in his hair for a full 20 minutes.

I've been alternating nizoral with a Polytar shampoo. The ingredients of that surprised me, containing both pine oil and coconut oil. I couldn't help remembering your experiment with pine oil, Michael, so I'm wondering about its anti-androgen properties. Also I used coconut oil for years instead of hair gel - this was before my hair loss began in earnest. I'd forgotten about that. Might give it another try...
