Nizoral combined with minoxidil?

I was always wondering whatNizoral shampoo exactly do to the scalp. Some people said it helps to maintain hair while on minoxidil. Is that correct. Does that mean that combining minoxidil and Nizoral shampoo will get me better results?????? I read that it should be used only 2 to 3 time a week..

Thanks Petchsky. That was very informative and helpful.
I live in the US so I will be able to get 1% Nizoral but I guess thats better than nothing.
