Why not start out with 1%. I don't think that it is that much difference considering growth. But you need to use the directions that stand on the 2% bottle, that it has to be on the scalp for around 5 minutes. And remember to use a good conditioner. Good idea to do a fast prewash with some cheap mild shampoo.

I read than Nizoral 2% is more likely to produce results than 1%. I'm 22 with a receding hairline. It's not to bad but I do not want it to get worse. I decided not to try propecia or other oral drugs due to possible side affects, just not worth it imo. Minoxidil only works for a few years and a lot don't respond. I plan on using Nizoral 2% 4-5 days per week. I will use it with Avalon Organics Thickening Shampoo which has no sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate, and it has biotin and saw palmetto. I also have the Avalon Organics Conditioner. My goal is to stop my receding hairline from getting worse. I have long hair if that makes any difference in anything. So what do you guys think?

Could be worth a shot, but I wouldnt have big hopes in case of long term.
I would go see a derma Doctor. Propecia should stop your hair loss. minoxidil only some regrow temporary. Long time keto use alone, no one really knows. Some docs recommend minoxidil and keto foam to users that don't want to use Propecia.

I use nizoral 2% and it's great. Not sure if it's increasing anything.. but it makes my hair feel so much thicker.

"Minoxidil only works for a few years and a lot don't respond" minoxidil works very well for a lot of people. I know 2 guys who are using minoxidil for 10 + years and they were able to regrow some hair and keep it over the years. They still use minoxidil.
I'm 29 and I'm using minoxidil for around 3 years. I had good results. My hairloss seemed to stop. I was using ScalpMed with is 2% minoxidil. Now for the past 3 months Ive been using 5% minoxidil (Rogaine) and 1% Nozoral and I notice that I had a lot of new hair on my hairline.
minoxidil can regrow and Nizoral can maintain. think about it.
