nizoral 1% vs. 2%

I know the 1% is the over-the-counter nizoral. I've been using it for almost a year (originally for dandruff, now as part of my finasteride male pattern baldness regimen). Is the 1% even worth it? People talk about nizoral a lot on these forums, but am I correct in assuming they all mean the 2% prescription strength version?

Where can you get the 2% without a script?

htgt - I've seen that study - and in most instances it's probably true. I went from 2% to 1% for about a year (in addition to some other regimen modifications) and suffered a mild setback.

So in my instance and IMHO, the 2% is more effectve than the 1%.

Even though I'm now using Revita (which contains the 1% keto) 5x weekly, I'm also using Dr. Lee's 2% 2x weekly.

Maybe when my 1% bottler runs out, Ill jump on the 2%

Of course - it's not the nizoral you need - it's the 2% Ketokonazole.

If they did, they don't any more...see for yourself...all they do is link to drugstore.com, which sells only the 1%...go figure.

I find this strange, since here in Canada 2% is OTC, I don't think 1% even exists. Generally, we tend to be more conservative with medical type products, minoxidil only available by prescription here being an example.
