I also started using the 1% and 2% (have both), however they really really dry my hair out.
I use them almost every day, but then after bathing my hair became really dry.

If I switch to shampooing every other day, my head still gets itchy if I do that or really greasy and easily get scalp build up.

1. How often do you use Nizoral 1% or even 2% ?
2. On the days that you don't use it, do you just not wash your hair ?
3. If you do wash your hair, what shampoo and conditioner do you use ?
4. How do you keep your hair moisture up, coz my hair literally feels like hay and will break off and damage that way ?

I find I get a lot more hair on my hands when I use a conditioner than with Nizoral.
So to be honest I get scared to put conditioner.

I also find my scalp gets irritated with the Nizoral if I use a conditioner as well.

I find my scalp behaviour complex and hard to understand ... :(

Most of the posts I've read about nizoral say that you should use it two to three times a week maximum. Even the pharmacists that I have heard from say that it should not be used every day.

I don't use conditioner, because I think my hair is more fine and less thick when I use conditioner. I use a good quality hair thickening shampoo, such as brand names by Nexxus or Olive Oil brand.

tbst594, I agree with Valiant, don't use Nizoral everyday. Try every other day, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Skip Saturday and Sunday.
I know Dove Daily Moisture Shampoo works pretty well in my case. And also Dove Moisture Conditioner for Colored Hair, its the one with pink label on the bottle. I think it moisturize my hair better then other dove conditioner for dry hair.
When it comes to the conditioner, put just a little bit , not too much, do not keep it on the hair too long, just put it on and then wash it down.

Valiant, just put a little bit conditioner then wash it down right away. I noticed when I leave conditioner too long or I use too much of it my hair are too dry but when I apply just a little bit and wash it down my hair feel awesome. Try it.

Initially I was using Nizoral as recommended every 2-3 days but I had such bad scalp build up & dandruff that it was too embarassing to go to work.
Increasing my usage to daily helped clear the problem. Now really I just want to maintain my head.

I will try switching back to using nizoral every other day as suggested by both of you.
Thanks for suggesting Dove Daily Shampoo. I'll give that a go for the other days I don't use Nizoral.
I definitely need to shampoo everyday because my scalp gets too oily.
