Nizarol burning

Hi,

My scalp seems to get very inflamed (it really burns during the day) when using Nizoral 2% and 1%. I have tried to use both of these products for around 3 months, and it seems that it increases my hair loss. I stop using them and my hair slowly thickens again.

Should I just use T-Gel as an anti-inflammatory? Or any other ideas?

BTW: I have tired just using the 1% once a week and building to twice doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I would make the next logical switch to T/Gel - It helps a lot- and I think it gets dandruff out better, with less dryness!

Although, there's no study on it, I'm sure that it should help you out.

Goodluck!

My guess would be that Nizoral just isnt for you and to stay away from it completely.

Theres absolutley no need to do that yet. Theres lots of things you can do to reduce the irritation from Nizoral. To start with, on the days you dont use Nizoral, try using a mild moisturising shampoo and conditioner. Get a good quality conditoner and make sure you use it on the days you use Nizoral. You could also try a copper peptide treatment such as Tricomin. Many people have used this to treat irritation.

Hawaii,

It really burns, it doesn't just irriate...I don't see how I can use it.

I'll give T-gel a try. I use Rogaine at the momment, unless my hair gets much worse I want to stay away from adding more topicals. It just becomes a hassle. Would probably shave my head...god life would be easier and cheaper! No hair loss products, no hair cuts, and no styling products!!!

Cheers.
