The place where I get my hair cut keeps pushing this Nioxin product at me, claiming that people she knows have seen results from it. Does anyone have any ACTUAL factual information about this product line, that is not a mere opinion or speculation?

I use it every day. I think it's a good shampoo, with a lot of solid ingredients, but I wouldn't expect miracles from it.

The serum stinks, I couldn't stand using it. I used Nioxin S&C and serum on occasion when I first noticed loss. Went from a NW0 to a NW2 with diffuse to NW5 during this time.

Thanks for the info, however, sorry man...what you wrote is like a different language to me. what is nioxin serum, S&C, and what does "with diffuse to NW5 during this time" mean?

Nioxin Serum is this lame crap Nioxin sells that is supposed to stimulate hair growth but all it really does is turn your forehead red so you look like a moron.

When he says "with diffuse to NW5 during this time" it means that he had lost all hair to the NW2 point and had diffuse thinning over this time that covered his scalp in the NW5 pattern.

flutamide is a potent antiandrogen which i'm not sure is safe even as a topical due to the chance of systemic absorption
alpecin is a caffeine based product, shampoos and after shower leave in stuff. has zinc etc as well
sebamed i have no idea, sounds like a ketanazoale based shampoo like nizoral
