Hi guys, i recently started noticing substancial thinning and i started a regiment of
1mg finasteride
5% minoxidil twice daily
nioxin shampoo
nizoral shampoo every 4th day

Im wondering if the revivogen shampoo would be better and what are your thoughts about Nioxin shampoo and conditioner?

I don't know what's in Nioxin shampoo, but Revivogen shampoo has the same active ingredients as the scalp therapy. But given it's not on your scalp long enough, it's only going to make a minor difference. If Nioxin is any good, I imagine it's only of approximately equal efficacy.

Just used my Revivogen shampoo for the first time again since... oh 2-3 years. Man I've forgotten how great it feels. It gives your hair a nice cool feeling, and also leaves my hair with a much better texture coming out of the shower than Nizoral or T/Gel. I think I will definitely keep it in my shampoo regimen now.

I recommend the MiN Defense System. Great stuff, but I'm gonna stop using it bc I'm a cheapo and I have to pay for propecia now haha.

Haha. How much is the shampoo? What's in it?

If I got the right product I found it on Amazon for $55. http://www.amazon.com/MiN-New-York-Defense-Cleansing/dp/B000DZM9XS

I think I might buy this as I am having the same problem as the first post in this thread. My hair is thinning a lot in the front and my hairline is receding.

Don't expect it to work miracles... it helped the texture of my hair immensely though. It has a bunch of ingredients including azelaic acid, saw palmetto, copper peptide Y3, procapil, biotin, and zinc sulfate. Made a huge difference when I began using it. I also use their "Agent" 5% minoxidil although it is sort of messy. It feels nice because it has some menthol in it, too.

In the end, it's like throwing a stone at a brick wall, but I've been very happy with it although sad when I have to pay the price. It's why I'll probably try quitting it.

You might want to try the Revivogen shampoo. It's 12fl oz for $17.50 (if you buy 2... 1 for $20), and it's got GLA (omega-6), ALA, azelaic acid, zinc sulfate, saw palmetto, and a bunch of other ingredients.

That's a better price... where can I order this.... Amazon?

I used the scalp therapy a long time ago. I would say it had a mild positive effect, but without something like Propecia supplementing it, it was like throwing a cup of water on a small kitchen fire.
