Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times.

I'm 21 and have started to notice my hair thining, my brother's hair at 24 is extremely thin and receeded. So I've decided to try catch it early and try everything to stop it.

My finasteride arrives in a couple days and I'm using Nizoral....I just have a question about Minoxidil:


After many google searches, it keeps coming up that it makes your hair thinner/straw-like. My hair is dark and thick, I'm scared that if i start using it, it will make my existing hair thin and wirey. Also, I know if you discontinue use, whatever you gain falls out, but is there any chance it can contribute to existing hair falling out?

I believe it thicks hair, at least mine. Where did you read about thinner?

About straw, wirey etc you have to try it to see the impact on your hair. The only problem with me is that made hair kind of oily, at least the foam.
