Newbie questions

Hi guys I have just started treatment and was hoping you could answer some newbie questions please:

1) I have been using propecia for a month and have just seen a website called http://www.propeciasideeffects.com which has all sorts of scary stories. The trouble is, hairloss seems to have more mis-information and sometimes flat lies than any other topic I know of. So does anyone know where the truth lies on this. (ps have not experienced any side effects yet myself).

2) It seems both propecia and minodoxyl (Rogaine) say they are not proven for a receding hairline. However my hairloss is purely a receding hairline and I see others on this forum using propecia, minodoxyl and nizoral for exactly this type of hairloss. Any advice here?

yeah they do work just dont expect much in terms of regrowth. ive got
some peach fuzz on the temples but its never developed and it might
have been there anyway its impossible to tell.

ive been on both for nearly 22 months,no side effects only increased libido


2% of propecia users get sides and as you say ,you havent any so carry on taking it

the fda trials only concentrated on the crown so they cant legally say that Propecia/minoxidil work on the hairline ,but they do......

remember that anyone who has side effects is going to moan about them so dont put too much emphasis on scare stories that you hear

Thanks libertine. Thats interesting about the increased libido as I also noticed this quite markedly so after about 1 week. Not quite sure why this happens but its a nice side affect to have
