he dude, I think you would be an awesome candidate for finasteride (propecia). I say go to your doctor and have him tell you about it and he'll tell you if it is right for you, if you catch it early chances are it won't progess any further and you might see some regrowth if you are a good responder. Maintenance is what you should be looking for though, I think your hair still looks good. You might want to consider Rogain (minoxidil) but i still say stick it out with propecia and get on it ASAP before you go down the rogaine path. You should be using Nizoral shampoo for its mild anti androgenetic effects at least twice a week....

now go, get your prescription... get your nizoral 2% and stick it out for a year or so before adding Minoxidil.

GO NOW.

Agreed... I have been on Proscar for 3 years... as time went by i didnt really analyse wheather it was working or not, but looking back i have seriously not lost any ground in that time and i reckon ive grown more back for sure.

Started minoxidil (rogain) 6 weeks ago and realised its a bastard to apply and a shitload of trouble... plus ive shed alot of the hair i think took me 3 years to gain... so go the Proscar (propecia)

Your loss at the front looks kinda similar to mine, although your probably in better shape then when I started my treatment. I've been using regaine at the front, its thickened it up a hell of alot. I really need to update my pics. I think regaine has worked really well, you get used to applying it but yeah it can be a chore but its up to you. As for finasteride I've been on it about four months now can't really comment on it but I'm pretty sure its working. Anyways good luck to you and keep us updated.

If it has been said before its worth repeating.

Rogaine is a pain to apply, as it is greasy and very slow drying (for me 3 hours or so). This hassle means I tended to miss an application here and there, and the time I was consistent I had to walk around with a greasy slick on my head (the head of a balding man the thing you would rather not draw attention too).

On the other hand Dr Lees minoxidil formula is non-greasy, is dry in 10 minutes, you get 65ml compared to Rogaines 60ml and it is slightly more potent at 5.5% minoxidil compared to Rogaines 5% minoxidil.

It is also (for thoses buying Rogaine off the shelf, especially in the UK) vastly cheaper (£32-Rogaine 60ml of 5% minoxidil....or.....£9-Dr Lees 65ml of 5.5% minoxidil).

I never miss an application as it is so hassle free.

When I changed from Rogaine to Dr Lees after a year it was like being set free.
