Newbie chiming in

Hi,
Ive been reading this forum for a while and decided to take the plunge and purchase some Finpecia from UP. I have been taking 0.5mg per day for the last three days. Thus far no side effects touch wood - excuse the pun :hump:
Can someone visually verify that the Finpecia I purchased is legit, as I dont recall seeing that redline across the box on other images.

Oh., BTW.. Im 37 years old and have slight recession on the temples which didnt worry me too much however during the last 12 months the top of my head ( not the crown area ) is diffusing. Lots of hair falling out of that region and also miniturization (sp?) occuring. Thought Id try and do something about it before its noticable.

Cool thanks, You know.. Being a lurker prior to signing up and purchasing finasteride has made me a little para so to speak hence why Im wonder why I aint go no symptoms LOL. Im sure its early days yet!

Maybe. Who knows? Like what Ive read on here.. No guarantees unless you get it from a local Pharmacy like Walmart or Walgreens ( Propecia that is or its equiv )

Looks exactly like the finpecia I use and mine is legit - I have had some good results
Don't listen to the 'it's fake' crowd - some people are just neurotic about online generics.

I think you might be right pal. Only a few days in and my shedding ( hair pull test ) has really decreased! So far well happy!
Before I'd slightly tug at the top of my head and hairs would be all over it, now virtually zero. Seems that the dreaded DHT is somewhat at bay so to speak.
Was not really expecting it to work that quickly unk: However I await my first finasteride shed and my first side effects LOL. My prostate felt a little sensitive on the 2nd day, but hard to prove that it was the finasteride causing it, in anycase no symptoms as yet- touch wood.

PS the box I got aint got a barcode on it also that red stripe on the box. Im comparing to to images from the net.

I had sides for about a week - just some decreased libido. All went back to normal after that.
Not sure if I am unique in this but I never experience a shed. I have had some good results in thickening up and some regrowth but i never shed.

hey key thing to remember is that everyone reacts differently to finasteride - some shed, some don't. Some are good responders, some not and some get sides and some don't.

It'sa bit of a lottery but for those of us where it works ... :woot:

I had Gyno symptoms but I am on Aromasin and it completely stopped ALL of the side effects

0.5 might not even give you any sides. Don't forget that only a small % of people even see sides.
I'm sure it is legit mate ... just give it some time.

Quick question though .. why 0.5 and not the full 1mg ?

Two reasons to be honest. Lesser chance of side effects, also noted on the this forum 0.5mg is as good as 1mg for DHT reduction. Other reason being making the tablets last for twice the time

It seems clear that side-effects from finasteride go hand-in-hand with its ability to suppress DHT; but despite the obvious nature of that fact, I always see lots of comments from posters on hairloss sites who say that taking a smaller dose will "greatly reduce" the chance of side effects, while maintaining the same beneficial effect on hair. It doesn't make any sense at all, does it? I think it's one of the great Urban Myths on hairloss sites.
