Hello everyone,
I'm a new user considering using treatment for the first time, and I could really use some advice.
All the males in my family have bi-temporal receding hairlines (widow's peaks). Mine started at 18 and continued until I was 23, at which point it pretty much stopped until recently. I'm now 27 and it's started again, fairly aggressively. I'm currently a 2, on my way to 3 and eventually a 4A, judging by my dad and older brothers. I researched treatment when I was younger but never used anything because I was under the impression that nothing works for the temple area, but after looking around the forum it seems like some people have had success with bi-temporal hair loss?
I'm considering the big 3 treatment, nizoral, generic finasteride and rogaine, but wanted to ask if anyone had thoughts on that for bi-temporal hair loss. Propecia's web site said there is no proof that it works for the temple area, so I'm wondering if I would be throwing my money way by taking it. I've also heard that rogaine is primarily for the crown area, and doesn't do anything for the temple area. Is that true? I'm happy to use whatever treatment is available, but I'm worried that for my type of hair loss nothing really works.
Thanks for any thoughts!
