Hi all, I'm 34 years old. I have been fighting with hairloss for the last 4-5 years. It really just hit me recently after going through a very tough 2014... After a very stressful year having to go through a nasty divorce, and having to start a new career really did a job on my stress levels. Recently looking in the mirror, now I'm noticing a much more hairloss. Before jumping into hair transplant I want to see if I could try to regrow hair using some of the methods I read here. There are soooo many different views, please help put me in the right direction to give a good fight.

My Daily Process:

1) Minoxidil 5% Kirkland Brand. Twice daily early morning after showering and evening about 1 hr before bed.

2) I'm taking bunch of vitamins gathered from my research online... Please advise if they're good or waste.
Keratin Enchance(2/day)
Biotin 10000 mcg(1/day)
Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000(1/day)
Rhodiola Extract 340mg (2/day)
Ashwagandha Extract 470 mg (1/day)
Zinc 50 mg (1/day)
Fish Oil GNC triple strenght 1500 (1/day)
**** I have been doing research on Saw Palmetto Please inform what i should do with this and what MG should I take of this.
****Also looking to add a B5 vitamin.

3) RegenePure Shampoo Pack (just bought this on hairlosstalk website)

4) Looking to add Propecia, just went to my dermatologist and seeking assistance. Before they issued me Propecia they wanted blood work. Since my insurance has not kicked in yet it was a little expensive to do the blood test right now. I will have to wait another 60 days until my insurance kicks in. There is generic Finasteride on this website should I just buy that directly without going through the motions. If thats not recommended is there something that I can used in its place until I can begin to take finasteride.

So thats my story. I would really appreciate some advise to steer me in the right direction. I know it will take time but I don't want to go down the wrong path. I will include 2 photos that I've taken recently. Hope this would help with guiding me with all your experiences.

Thank you in advance.

Hi erco1980, sorry that you went through a rough 2014.

About your daily process, here's what you need and don't really need to treat your male pattern baldness:

1) Stay with using Minoxidil 5% twice daily, it legitimately helps to treat Androgenetic Alopecia.
2) Unfortunately, all the supplements you're taking will not do anything to treat your male pattern baldness. If you're only taking the supplements to treat your male pattern baldness, then it's a waste; for your well being, it's not a waste.
3) Regenepure DR helps to treat Androgenetic Alopecia because it contains a compound in it called Ketoconazole, which has been shown to have an inhibiting effect on DHT when applied topically to the scalp. Regenepure NT is a good quality shampoo, keep in mind though that there's nothing in it to help treat your male pattern baldness.
4) Getting on Propecia will be cruicial to your regimen since it fights directly against the cause of Androgenetic Alopecia, and contains 1 mg of Finasteride per pill. I suggest to get a prescription for Proscar which is 5 mg tablets of Finasteride, cut them into fourths, and take 1.25 mg of the medication daily, you'll save money using this method.

Other than that, these are effective treatments at fighting Androgenetic Alopecia.
