I have been researching products that have been highly reviewed and I've come to understand I seem to have gotten a bit late in the game. The 15% minoxidil and the 5% azelaic acid choices are no longer available. I haven't really read anything about substitutes. Mainly been reading that you can use 20% AA in the form of a cream (not sure why 20% when formula called for 5%) Also, seen that using a needle roller helps.

Is there a way to get a close substitute of the old formula lipogaine? That seems to be where it was at. Surely, somebody has experimented with successful ways to add azelaic acid in a topical fashion. Thanks.

I thought lipogaine does have azelaic acid but they just change the name to hide it from the crackdown. Its called azetionol.

Actually I think amazon doesn't allow azelaic acid to be in hair products. I bought perfect hair solutions minoxidil on amazon and It did not say anywhere in the description or ingredient list that it contained azelaic acid in the ad. But once I got the bottle, it had azelaic acid on the label. So I don't know.
