Hi my names mike and was wondering if anybody can help me out I recently took a picture of my scalp and started noticing patches where it looks like my hair is thinning I was wondering if this looks like some type of hair loss or something else help is really appreciated!

thank you for your help! I also forgot to mention I took these photos with the flash on. would that have any effect on what you actually see in the photo?

It might... But if I were you, I wouldn't make up any excuses.
Because now you're still in position to do something about it. If this is male pattern baldness, then your hair can easily grow back with the known treatments... but once you lose too much, it's gone forever.
It's better to be safe than sorry, right? Go to a clinic, let the proffesional look at it. Maybe he'll tell you there's nothing wrong... Or maybe he tells you you start finasteride and/or Rogain right away... In anyway, it's a win-win situation.
Please do it... because I didn't and I'm pretty bald right now.
Reminds me of my hair early last year. I thought it was just at trick of the light or me being paranoid at first, too, but then it turned into a monk spot. If you want to prevent further loss, you should definitely pursue your options now before it becomes really noticeable.
