Hi,
I am new to this site and recently been using aprox .5 to .75mg daily of finasteride. A little background on my current situation is I have a full head of hair but in the past couple of years I have experienced shedding and now my crown area has definitely thinned out. When I first saw a pic of the back of my head I got sick to my stomach. I couldn't believe that could happen to me. I mean from the front my hair looks great, nice & thick and healthy. So anyway like a lot of stories on this board I find myself trying to gain back what I had. So I started taking finasteride 5mg and cutting it up into 4's then cutting it again. I have been taking it for aprox 2 weeks and now thinking of taking it every other day. I really do not want to inhibit to much DHT. What is the half life of this drug? Question is would this be of any benefit or waste of time? Should I stick w/ daily routine? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hello
yes you have to stick to it for at least a year to assess if it is working for you or not.

I highly suggest you get some blood work down, like Hormone levels and Liver levels and recheck them every 3 months!

Finally I think you should add Minoxidil to your regimen!
