hi all,
quick intro before i begin - all credit goes to proteinpeep

but, there seems to have been a recent study in which they found that the addition of a very low dosage of dutasteride to the usual regular finasteride regimen has had great effects. i've attached a picture below and a link to a study in which this is discussed.

EDIT: looks like that link only had the outline. as i don't know what the rules are or how to directly upload an FTP to this, i'll say that there's a link to the article as an FTP on the thread linked at the beginning here.

does anyone have any thoughts or ideas? cuz hell, i know i'd jump on it right now if it was as good as it looked.
take care all,
f

Unfortunately it is only one case. But it is a great result. However, he has been on finasteride alone for 4 years, so everybody should probably give that enough time before jumping on dutasteride as well.

I'm on this plan now. My crown loss is roughly double his size with minimal thick hairs.
0.5 dutasteride once a week plus finasteride. Just past 3 months now. No real change I can see so far. Will go for 6 months then bump up to 2 - 0.5 dutasteride per week. This will be my limit for cost and health. Then go another 6 months, & revaluate. If no change then back to once a week or drop dutasteride. So far no libido issues. In fact upon starting dutasteride very intense nightly erections occurred for roughly a month. No change now from when was on finasteride only. Been on finasteride for 12.5 years now + minoxidil (& Nizoral recently last few years). Major diffuse all over and crown virtually gone.

How are you guys on this routine doing? I'm on 16 weeks 1 dutasteride per week with daily finasteride. No obvious change so far.

i'm not on the routine - was just posting it out of interest. i'm definitely interested in hearing more opinions / experiences of it though, so here's another bump for that. keep us posted bro.

dutasteride is better no doubt its a much stronger dht inhibitor, but the real question is what bad problems does removing dht long term do? Its safety is questionable
