Hi Guys,

I have read this forum for a few months, with some great insight. I first noticed my hairline thinning about 2 months ago, it may have been a longer process, infact it probably was but I wear my hair down and the fringe swept across - always have - therefore never noticed until recently. It was the burning sensation which made me investigate.

Family History

No members from any side have male pattern baldness. Although there may be members from far far back and I know this doesn't mean I can't get it.

Current Situation

I am 21. I Noticed a burning sensation and thinning hairline a couple of months ago when I stopped gelling my hair. I've always had a large forehead but think my temples may have receded but I don't think so - I think it's just the hairline thinning out. I have never had a straight hairline to be honest - even when younger. I am worried that this will worsen. I have suffered a period of high stress for the past 2 years, therefore I was attributing the thinning to this. If I can tackle this, then maybe it will thicken out again. However it may just have sped the male pattern baldness process. I use a non paraben shampoo and conditioner just now, which has anti-bacterial agencies (not Nizoral), however it hasn't worked very well. Cost a bomb aswell!

Basically should I visit my GP, will they even know? Can you arrange an appointment for a dermatologist or are there clinics for this (willing to pay) in the UK, I am in Glasgow, Scotland just now. I don't know whether to start the 'Big Three' or whether to begin with Propecia first, then Minoxidil.

Hair at 15 (awful picture quality):

Hair Now as I wear it:

Apologies for the terrible photographs. I can upload new ones if needed.

Any advice welcomed. Thank you.

Get on Propecia if you can afford it, Your hairline isn't that bad for 21 compared to some but it is clearly withering away and thinning at the temples and heading towards a Norwood 3. :puke:

Thanks guys. Exactly what I thought - most family members laughed but most people don't actually understand how it works.

Do you know where I can buy it, should I just go into Boots or Superdrug and buy it?

Your best bet is ordering fincar 5mg. Its generic finasteride. Cut it into 4 pieces. And take daily. So buy 30 pills will last you 120days. Alot more cost effective. I use inhousepharmacy

Make an appointment with a hair transplant surgeon and have them to prescribe Finasteride so you can start taking the medication. You'll need to do so ASAP so your hair does not keep getting worse.

Is this a legitimate website? Do you feel that it works?

Edit: Infact I think I'l probably just use the stuff from a normal retailer in the uk. It's faster and I'd easily pay that for a meal or twp anyway. If rather miss out on a few activities for the month than my hair!

It's not that I have the money mate. I'm just really concerned about buying from abroad. I've read a few horror stories on here about adverse reactions from finasteride bought elsewhere. Has your experience been good with them?

Got my finasteride there for 5years. No sides and i maintained well. Alot of uk guys here use them. Inly down side is 2wk delivery time tho if u plan in advance youll nvr run out. Unfortunately for me finasteride has lost its effect so ive bought my first order of dutasteride. Using same site. I can vouch for them being legit.

Cheers man. Il get on it.

I'm wondering if anyone will have a rough idea, or for those who use finasteride, do you see any re-growth? Or at least, my thinning hairline, will it thicken up - at all (if it is successful in slowing down hairloss or halting it)?

Or will I have to use Minoxidil for that?
