Hi Guys,
I have read this forum for a few months, with some great insight. I first noticed my hairline thinning about 2 months ago, it may have been a longer process, infact it probably was but I wear my hair down and the fringe swept across - always have - therefore never noticed until recently. It was the burning sensation which made me investigate.
Family History
No members from any side have male pattern baldness. Although there may be members from far far back and I know this doesn't mean I can't get it.
Current Situation
I am 21. I Noticed a burning sensation and thinning hairline a couple of months ago when I stopped gelling my hair. I've always had a large forehead but think my temples may have receded but I don't think so - I think it's just the hairline thinning out. I have never had a straight hairline to be honest - even when younger. I am worried that this will worsen. I have suffered a period of high stress for the past 2 years, therefore I was attributing the thinning to this. If I can tackle this, then maybe it will thicken out again. However it may just have sped the male pattern baldness process. I use a non paraben shampoo and conditioner just now, which has anti-bacterial agencies (not Nizoral), however it hasn't worked very well. Cost a bomb aswell!
Basically should I visit my GP, will they even know? Can you arrange an appointment for a dermatologist or are there clinics for this (willing to pay) in the UK, I am in Glasgow, Scotland just now. I don't know whether to start the 'Big Three' or whether to begin with Propecia first, then Minoxidil.

Apologies for the terrible photographs. I can upload new ones if needed.
Any advice welcomed. Thank you.
