Just a little background, I'm 26 years old and over time, my hair has been going going and although it's not yet gone, I'm pretty sure it's done for.

I've started looking into some actual treatments and I was wondering if there is anything to save me from my destiny of being bald.

My hair still grows but it's really receding and as I grow older, it's going further and further back. I've tried different hairstyles to hide it, but it's pretty noticeable.

I've slicked my hair back in the pictures so you can really see what's going on

Any help would be great and is there anyway to get my hairline back?

For now, staying away from Propecia

Ordered some Regenepure DR hair & scalp treatment and Lipogaine for now.

I'm hoping that it will stop the hair loss if I use these, but should I have expectation of hair growing back? Is it even possible for my hairline to come back?

your hair loss looks similar to mine and the front is very slow to regrow - with an anti-androgen (topical or internal) you could get to NW2 hairline but it would take time.

i'm not sure if your regime will stop the progression of Androgenetic Alopecia also having long hair and a topical regime might get annoying.

Unless you start using Finasteride, I wouldn't have any expectation of the hairline coming back...

I have a very similar hairloss pattern to yours and trust me the whole unproven topical route just isn't worth all the trouble for such mediocre results....

I've acheived much better regrowth in just 5 months on finasteride, than I did slaving away for 15 months on a topical regime with Revivogen, Tricomin and minoxidil.

Furthermore, both items you ordered Regenepure and Lipogaine contain Saw Palmetto an ingredient which causes the same negative side effects as Finasteride... except without any proven beneficial effect for your hair... At least with finasteride, you know the exact % of people getting side effects and you know it will 90% likely save your hair, Saw Palmetto could give you the same side effects you fear from finasteride while at the same time doing absolutely nothing for your hair.

Lipogaine looks extremely messy and uneccesary too, I mean all those different ingredients could even counteract the positive effects of Minoxidil, the only proven ingredient in the formula.

Regenepure also contains only one proven ingredient, Ketocozanole which you can buy in the form of Nizoral shampoo for much less.

In my opinion, if you are serious about saving your hairline, then you should just stick to Minoxidil and start micro dosing on finasteride at say 0.25mg every 2nd or 3rd day allowing your body to adjust slowly to the medication without any shock effetc... without a proven 5AR inhibitor in your regimen there is just no way you will maintain, let alone regrow, sorry.

you wanna keep your hair, you get on finasteride... that's pretty much the extent of current longterm treatments. min can be great for regrowth, nizoral shampoo can be helpful on the side, and you've got some other experimental or nuclear options like dutasteride.. but yeah, get on finasteride.

Both is a vague hope. Without finasteride you're going to lose your battle. Why do you think it would work differently for you. No one here would take finasteride if you could halt hairloss let alone regrow on Lipogaine and a shampoo. Accept the facts...sorry.

Those products won't work - they are snake oil designed to exploit the vulnerable hair loss sufferer. There's no evidence for either. I've been on hair loss forums for a year now, and the user success stories have *only* ever been based around proven treatments like finasteride, dutasteride, etc.

Regenepure DR is a 1% Ketoconazole Shampoo Nizoral Alternative with a bunch of other stuff mixed in, and has solid science backing (at least the Ketoconazole portion of) it. I can't comment on Lipogaine.

Yeah its proven treatments really. If you go looking for alternatives you will find a never ending supply of claims from people about supplements, and various topicals that have little to no evidence they work. Most of them really dont. So over the years most people push these drugs because nothing else has every been found to do much of anything.
