Hello guys;

New member here. I am 31 years old and have using Rogaine successfully for about 6 years. I have used it in the crown and hairline with good results (even though it's not "supposed" to help you on the hairline.

Anyway, I have noticed that my hairline has been loosing more hair in the past two months, so I thought I would order some Fincar 5mg pills....until I read stories of flaccid erections, enlarged breast and I think shrunken genitals. I am an avid swimmer and weight-lifter and if these pills are going to cause a lack of energy, and make my chest look funny, I think I will just drive myself to the Bosley building a few blocks from my house and call it a day.

Could I get some input please?

Thanks!

If you go to Bosley, they will likely recommend using Propecia. I cannot recommend starting finasteride due to my personal experience. Many on this board will encourage you to try it. Side effects are not common, but they can happen. With that said, if you decide to start I would recommend starting at a very low dose and then work your way up to see how you body will tolerate it.

Thanks for your reply.

Why would Bosley recommend the pill? You mean they would put me on that pill instead of doing a hair-transplant or along with?

I am rather ignorant about all this because it's been under control with the Rogaine until now.

If the pill has real potential of working, I don't mind taking a hit on libido as long as it's just something that goes away after the first month. It's the lack of energy and effects on physique that really have me worried.

Thanks

You won't know how it will affect you until you actually take it. I took it for years and when I quit it completely destroyed my hpta. At one time most transplant clinics such as Bosley prescribed it when they do a transplant.
