What are you talking about? It's coming out in Japan 2011! Gail Naughton said so and it's not like she's a pathological liar or anything.

But, seriously, I consider Histogen discussion to be a basic IQ test.

"Histogen" is just Naughton rebooting "Advanced Tissue Sciences". They went public way back in 1988 using the same fundamental technology they are using now. They burned through 300 million dollars of investors' money while never accomplishing anything and constantly kicking the can down the road.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Advanced Tissue, which went public in 1988, used cells from the foreskins of circumcised newborns to make its skin products."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"On 31st March 2003 Advanced Tissue Sciences (ATS) was liquidated, with the effect that in excess of US$300 million of stakeholder financing was destroyed. Although successful in the development of breakthrough technologies in the regenerative medicine arena and the building of a substantial portfolio of patents, the company never made a profit."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sound familiar?

It's not very complicated. Unfortunately a lot of these forums have a policy of attacking realists by calling them "haters" "bitter" etc.
Histogen was done in 2012 when Ziering gave that interview that explained everything. It "works" but no better than any other growth factor approach. You could get PRP, Kerastem, Acell+PRP, Amniofix, RESTORE, etc.
Weekly microneedling will outperform yearly HSC injections. There's no realistic market for it.
Naughton just wants to kick the can and get PAID. She can't be honest and just say that it isn't very effective.
Hell, she more or less admitted they started talking about hair because they knew it would generate hype from desperate baldies:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hair can really generate a lot of excitement and help us raise the cash we need to develop the other products," she said.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was in 2009!
Histogen= growth factors.
They can't patent growth factors only their specific method. In other words they don't really have anything of value.
As an investor, this is the sort of company you just avoid.

Their clients will be those new balding guys, who are currently sitting with NW0 in their child-rooms and want to maintain their NW0,5 without sides in 2024.
But for the rest, who's already balding, stem cells will be the go to thing to recover and get the next level-hairs.

Ziering had HSC injections on himself which he told about in an audio interview, around -13 or -14. He then became president or executive board member of Biologixhair, which was exposed as a scam company posting fake pics of people who had never even had any hair loss in pictures found on their Facebook profiles. He's a scumbag.

Right, the 2012 interview. And remember what he said? He said his hair had improved but not enough to see in an obvious photo or anything, but that there was a clear subtle improvement. He compared HSC to PRP and even LLT. In other words he explained why it was likely to never come out!
HSC "worked" but nothing like the naive fans though it did. He also got annoyed when a caller asked about reversing norwoods and said "No, no, no it's not like that." He said it was a PRP caliber treatment and wouldn't come close to the aesthetic benefit of a transplant.
People seemed to think HSC was some sort of next gen magic "Hair serum" and he spent the interview pouring water all over their hype.

But the scam company Biologix, on the other hand, was to be effective. The Dr who invented it "should get the Nobel prize" for discovering the real cause and cure to hair loss, the "follicle nutrient deficiency syndrome". And Ziering was "President of Research and Development".

Sure, Ziering like many others will put his name on anything to get paid. No disagreement there.
I just though it was funny that Ziering was supposed to be promoting Histogen but even his "positive" statements weren't very positive at all.
There is no way someone could have listened to that 2012 interview and still been excited.

Some people here still think they'll be able to afford a hair multiplication procedure in the next 5 years ?
Come on...

"Histogen, an 18-person company which opened in 2007, is excited about the initial results from their independent study which involved 25 men aged 18 to 45 with varying stages of male pattern baldness."
"The trial is ongoing but Histogen expects to release full results from this first clinical study in the first half of 2009."
10years later, here we are(2019, off website);

is it sad or funny ? this does not even match the forecast (op's post)which says phase 1 in 2020.

He's a despicable human being nevertheless, for being president of a scam.
