Until earlier this week when a friend sent me this site I honestly didn't know there was anything I could do about it. I was under the impression that all of the products out there were for bald spots and not receding hair lines, and so it's not very advanced because I had no idea I could actually do something about it!

So here's a picture of where I'm at now: http://i.imgur.com/QWnhR7P.jpg

At this point I don't have any expectations that my hair line will move forward. I know I've waited too long and that isn't likely. But I'd REALLY like to save that middle part and make it thicker if that's at all possible. I've done a lot of searching and reading on this site, and right now I'm thinking: Nizoral shampoo 3-4 times a week, Mindoxidil 2x a day, and maybe some vitamins like Biotine? Would that be a realistic approach to saving/thickening the frontal part of my hair?

I greatly appreciate and help/advice!

drop the vitamins, and add finasteride to that regimen and you pretty much have the ideal regimen. If you maintain or regrow after two years, you can consider a hair transplant at that point and be nw2 again, and you will probably maintain for years or decades

And if you do transplant go for a Neo-Graft which mean no ugly scar in the back of your scalp - donor area. I think you can get decent result from minoxidil and nizoral. Add spironolactone to the mix or finasteride.
