Don't get excited...I know exactly what you mean. I've always had that spikey feeling, even before I started treatments.

new hairs are not spiky. They start with a very thin point and get corser as the bulb decends. sounds like you somehow clipped some hairs short, or they broke off at the base, so you are feeling a full shaft on a short hair.

if you think you are growing new hair after a month on propecia, then you are setting yourself up for a let down. Just trying to be honest.

yeah i was also thinking that the hair is breaking off and im feeling the spiky shafts.....cuz like i said sumtimes i shed the little jet black thick spiky hairs which must be the broken lower shaft. anyone know why this is happening and if it is common in male pattern baldness?

Yah i notice this feeling too in the thinning areas, my conclusion is that the long hair is just not that strong in these areas so its easier to feel the short prickly hairs which are all over your head anyway.
