yes i thought so many time of giving up, or doing stupid things like hair transplant and all but kept with regimen and swithing little things here and there. 2 years and 8 month things a looking great now.

here is my little story. after 2 years of loosing my hair i decided to do something about it, still had full set of hair, (hairloss problem started thinning in frontal and temple, then move to temple and crown, NW7 PATTERN) i started using minoxidil with nizoral, shed alot of hair the first 2 weeks and then it wasn't falling anymore, by 3 month i have grown about 60% of all my hair and it looked really dark and strong, i was so happy, then to make things better i decided to go with finasteride. everything went well until my 5 months then i started to loose hair or shed (don't know). from there it was 2 years fighting, shedding, depression, almost gave up. i try switch thing like adding minoxidil 15%, using spironolactone, adding multivitaming, but never let off finasteride and minoxidil . i almost gave up and decided to up my regimen and do thing right.

this is the changes i did in the last 3 month and my hair is growing fast like if i wasn't suffering from male pattern baldness, side and top look stronger, no more shedding and hair look black and thick all over, my hairline instead of pushing back is pushing foward.

1- i started using kirkland minoxidil which i was using when i started almost 3 year ago and that really work for me, everything went down hill when i added drlee minoxidil and finasteride, yesss i know is stupid to think that it has to do something with it, but i switch again to kirland generic minoxidil and is working excellent and cheapper. now using it 1X a day

2- i drop finasteride and added generic dutasteride (dr reddy) 0.5mg no more side effect for me and since things are working great this might be it, but who knows.

3- added tricomin, bought it from this site, use it 1X together with minoxidil

4- added green tea 1000mg 1x day, msm 4500mg 1x day, l-argini 2000mg 1x day, and multivitamin

5- and i started training in ballys, free weights 2 hours a day, m-f about 2 months ago.

that's all the changes i did to my regimen and after 2 year i can finally think about something else and not worrying about hairloss. from what i have gain in 3 month i don't mind statying like this but the great thing about it is that everyday it looks better and thicker, before i use to have a haircut every 2 month cause my hair wasn't growing, but my last haircut was 1 1/2 week and i need haircut really bad (which i'm happy)

this is to give hope to people that have been doing the regimen for such a long time, i never thought i was gonna grow hair again, i made my mind thinking that this was it and to fight until baldness but i'm glad i did not quit

Do you think you might benefit from finasteride in later years?

no i don't think so, before begining dutasteride, i stopped using finasteride fo 3 month before adding dutasteride, cause i was about to the point of giving up, i could tell u if i was using finasteride for 6 months, but it was 2 full year without slowdown or anything. after quitting 3 month on finasteride then 2 month ago i added dutasteride, but i don't know what it is, it might be dutasteride, who knows. the only thing i know is that i'm doing something right and i'll keep doing this regimen. things are looking miracle better everyday i wake up

u can buy all this online, or go to GNC, do a search in this forum cause everyone knows what i'm talking about, a experience person in this forum is surely taking all this, msm has benefit me greatly hair grow much much faster and since i'm taking a high dosage is really working well for me. l-argini is for the libido - finasteride and dutasteride side effects l-argini will most likely help u out. grean tea is good in a lot of way and multimvitamin cause u need your vitamin.

about ballys it has gotten really expensive, 3 year contract paying $50 dollars a month, but i bought a membership from ebay and only pay $10 a month, and yes a lot of big butty all kind of women go, it keeps my motivation up :p

What sides did you have on finasteride? (you mentioned depression, maybe because of finasteride?)
Were the side effects better with dutasteride?

i would not say depression was because of finasteride, i just felt depress cause of the hairloss on a early age (i'm 25 now) but the side effect that i had with finasteride were loss of libido, i gain a lot of weight (don't know if it was finasteride or minoxidil but i'm in better shape now) and hard time getting IT hard. with dutasteride those side effect are gone, (well for now) but who knows what other side effect i might get from dutasteride, for now everything is going for me like a miracle, hopefull everything won't go down the hill.

You're about the 3rd case I hear of someone who had less side effects after moving to dutasteride. I stopped finasteride due to major side effects but posts like yours make me wonder about trying dutasteride. I really wish you the best of hair, and don't forget to keep us posted!
