Its inflammation cos you're losing your hair.

A shampoo with selenium sulfide helped me. You can also add about 2ml of tea tree oil into 100 ml of the shampoo.

so inflammation causes hairloss so that means if i control it i wont lose hair anymore OR itching is a sign that u r losing ur hair and u cant do anything abt it.

stop using nizoral for a couple of weeks...its likely drying out the scalp. In fact imo you should stop any and all medicated shampoos....rehydrate the scalp with a nice moisturing shampoo/conditioner.

If you're on minoxidil I suggest stopping that for a few days as well...

its not going to hurt your progress not using treatments for a bit. In fact if its indeed causing the inflammation, ceasing treatments will help you. I have to stop everything every once in a while as well.

I suggest you to try to abstain from masterbation for two weeks and see if that helps to ease the itch.

I'm not saying it will help you but it has helped me.

If you're using minoxidil, maybe you're allergic to PPG.

I used to use nizoral as well and made my scalp really dry and itchy. I switched to T/Gel Forte and been using it everyday. Took care of the itch really well. If I use another shampoo my scalp becomes itchy again.

I have the same thing, and let me tell you I have tried every shampoo under the sun. I saw 2 dermatologists about it, and tried all kinds of treatments for months religiously in hopes it would help. Nothing has helped at all. I dont think any shampoo really does anything atleast for me. Some people report finasteride stopped the itch, and saw palmetto actually is the only thing to ever stop it for me. I quit because I figured I may as well use the real deal finasteride if I am going to go down that road. There is no real solution though other then guess.
