This is something I should've posted a long time ago. The reason I didn't is because I figured that with Dr. Lee gone, no one would get their hands on minoxidil with retin-a. However, if the new site that replaced Dr. Lee is legit, than many people may indeed end up with minoxidil and retin-a.

With that being said, on to the topic. The title pretty much explains it. Once, about an hour using Dr. Lee's minoxidil with retin-a, I applied some folligen. It burned like hell. I mean really painful. I ignored it and figured it would go away, so I went to bed. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night, still with intense burning. I had to go wash my hair and that helped, but my scalp was red, irritated and sensitve for a whole day. After this, I only used folligen on days when I used generic minoxidil instead of minoxidil with retin-a. However, one day I screwed up and repeated this mistake because I had forgotten that I used minoxidil with retin-a that night. However, I had learned my lesson so I immdeately washed it off.

In sum, never apply folligen if you have minoxidil with retin-a on your scalp!!

They are basically the same thing. Retinol is the natural version of Vitamin A. Retin-A is a synthetic brand name version of Vitamin A. I prefer natural, though, synthetic can be advantageous in some cases.
