Negative Thinking & Your Hair..

Does thinking negatively about your hair loss or obsessing over the fact that you are loosing hair cause even more loss?

It has probably been mentioned before but I could not help think about the very, possible, damage that negative thinknig is having on our hair.

As soon as you realise you are losing your hair, most or if not all people begin to obsess, in search for a solution (often futile at best).

This simple task of obsessing then flourishes even deeper as it becomes a concious part of every thought. It is also approximated that we think upward of 15,000 thoughts to even 60,000 tjhoughts per day and the large majority of which are negative.

What kind of cascading effect does this have on our bodies? Does this induce hormones and chemical interactions within our bodies that result in hair loss?

Of course there are other mitigating factors that do apply. I still can't help but ponder the interaction every bad thought we give the curse of hair loss plays in the role of your maine falling to the ground.

Consequently have you ever heard of someone who was losing their hair and that was absolutely happy and content with their life?

I don't know anyone like this, not that I have met. I am new to the game. But I also seem to think that maybe, if you were losing your hair and it honestly did not affect your state of mnid (which is virtually impossible to do) that you may not lose your hair after all.

Thus this could be the reason for me not knowing any happily balding dudes.

This is all theoretical blah blah, the credibility of which I know nothing of but it's interesting to think that the majority of us here if not all think negatively in some way shape or form about our hair loss conciously that is probably attributing to some adverse results.

Even if your claim to not let it bother you at all, to which you probably would not be here, I would say that there would be a sub-concious thought permiating through your mind daily and that your simply not aware of it.

I must say like the way you thinking about this So..
But as I know people on this board most of them are not so spiritual or dont have much of holistic way of thinking when it comes to hairloss treatments.. I have read a lot of Deepak Chopra´s books and lissen to some of his seminars and I must say this man knows his stuff as he put links and parallels between modern science and old ayurvedic medicine and philosophy..But I have tried to find something about hairloss in his readings but as clever as he is he don´t mention any cures for hairloss:)
hehe..
Try post a thred on http://www.deepakchopra.com forum. They might share some of your tought on this subject...

If you not know of this guy Deepak you should really try download some audiobooks of him online.. I think you and him would go good along ;) Hand-In-Hand maybe!!! :inlove:

Funnily enough I have heard of Deepak & I have downloaded some of his audio books but never listened to them.

I don't think Deepak could illustrate specific instructions on how to cure hair loss simply with the "mind" alone. In fact he probably could not illustrate a cure to any one specific disease for that matter.

Your negative thought sends nerve impulses to the adrenal glands which release into the blood stream a number of different chemicals. These circulate in the blood stream throughout the body, affecting the pituitary gland, causing it to release yet more chemicals. These are generally known as the stress chemicals, they include corticosteroids such as adrenaline and noradrenaline, other hormones and neurotransmitters.

If it is as easy as one simple thought that results in our bodies releasing certain chemicals into our blood stream that produces an effect, the same too could be said that certain thoughts could trigger hair loss and others hair growth.

Why can't we modulate our bodies with our mind? I believe we can, however very few of us will ever be blessed with the ability.

This ability can be learnt overtime but of all things in life is absolutely the most difficult.

One of the biggest problems for mankind, is the way we live, is the way we are predestined to constrain ourselves to a fabricated society that asks so much of us, our emotions, our bodies and our energy. It is no wonder why we can not connect with our inner mind. It is no wonder why that when there is a problem, illness or disease we search vigorously for answers on google or on forums like this but only to come up trumps.

More than half of our problem is we emphasize that solutions to our problems will come from the out-side-in when the solution to hairloss should come from the inside-out. And it all begins with our minds and those lovely things called "thoughts".

As much as I know that there is an inner-connection within us I still find it very hard to think differently about my diffusely thinning hair.

Imagine if you could TRUELY break that negative thinking cycle. What results would we get...?

I think people shun this belief because it is so difficult to unlock.

True, but...

I think that over thinking/obsessing about hair loss does deffinitely lead to depression and anxiety which further manifests hormonal shifts internally that accelerate the male pattern baldness process and not just Telogen Effluvium as you speak of.

The difficulty is to not over think or obsess about it, to not get depressed nor develop anxiety because of your hair loss. However this is almost impossible.

People want to look good, be it for themselves, be it for social or society demographics. Vanity is ingrained in our mentaility from a very young age and often social circles no matter the degree depend on it.

Potentially, once we start to lose hair and begin that pain staking obsession, we begin to develop an internal hatered that manifests itself into further hair loss by altering our chemical make up on somewhat of a permenent basis or at least whilst we remain in a negative train of thought.

This makes the body realese some chemical called interlucan,
this is the most powerfull anti-cancer drug in the world an it i verry expensive..
When you have Fun, Exciting and Enyoy the body release some of this hemicals into the bloodstream worth tousends of dollars everytime..

SO TRY TO ENJOY LIFE!!! Its so much less expensive!!

Thats a shame - would have liked to read your whole post.

Does having fun help your hair though?

If it were possible not to obsess about your hair all of the time but to be truely happy and content with life full of joy then maybe the hair loss would stop...

But the biggest problem seems to be no matter how much you conciously try to be happy people seem to constantly think about their hair even on a subconcious level which could negate the chemical reaction and effet that your talking about.

Interesting read including the links about the FDA...

http://www.discovery-experimental.com/cancer/cancer.htm

Makes me wonder if that there already be a cure for hair loss supressed by the FDA so we keep on using already FDA "approved" drugs which some of the FDA members are no doubt propritary share holders of said companies.

Am sorry about that So.. Sometimes I can get really inspired when it comes to holistic thinking on a subject like this one..
I hope I can get out some of my believes of this subject this time..
Very interesting question you have here by the way.
But for everything when it comes to mind and link between mind and body much of it will depend on your own believe-system..
So I guess its not easy for people to reply on this thread.. But I like the sound of this claim: "As you think, You shall be!!". :)

I found an homepage for a study once some years ago that proved the power of WORDS in ice crystals.. I not remember the name of it right now but it was about how words and i guess also thoughts could change
how water crystals looked like under a microcope.. It showed that when we use words like ex. "Hell, f***, b**ch, hitler" it changed the water. When word like "Love, beautyfull, nice, kind, pretty" the crystals changed to be more symetric. More perfect!!
Quite interesting i will say.. It means that what we think and say has influence in our surroundings. And as we know, our body has a lot of water in it.

One type of meditation mostly used by the people from the "land of smile" itself (Thailand) telling you to focus your mind on parts of your body and guess what; its says..SMILE to it!! Smile to your Lovely, Beautyfull Shining hair!! hehe
So when I read about this kinda meditation I did see a link between positive thinking and its influence in the water crystals from the other article. I guess its the same rule about keeping your loved ones close to you.. So if you start to think negatively about someone, lets say your girlfriend, or your hair, something start to change. We argue and use bad words to eachother and change the harmonic balance in the element in ourself and the surroundings. And a broken heart is actually a broken heart.. It hurts in mind, body and spirit as its all connected as I see it!!
I think if we know the power of thinking and expressions we would be much more carefull about what we think and say..
Something to consider on this board to, as I see a lot of negative threads and comment here.. Maybe we loose more hair just because we be here reading all this negative thoughts of other people..
Its like commercials, it has an influence on us, rather we want it or not..

I guess I could continue this forever and beyond that, but am gonna play a poker-tourney soon so I will try put some positive thoughts on my lucky aces.. hihi

Anyway,, If I can feel so free, and actually recommend some literature about this kinda topic. Am gonna put here some names of people and books that have gain me big inspiration..

James Redfield (The Celestine Prophecy.. This really gave me an other view of why we are here and the understanding of whats happening in our world. He really expand the paradigm we live in )
Wayne Dyer (This man can tell you all about the power of the believe-system)
Dr. Deepak Chopra (And this man can put the all believings in contrast of modern science and medicine and how it influence our body, mind and spirit)

Deepak also tells something about we are actually in power of changing our DNA to some degree. I have not yet found out how to do it for hairloss but I we have all the chemistry in our body to do it i guess..

Its so much I believe in and so much I wanna try but its hard to be alone in having all this alternative ideas and have to time to try some of them..

So I really think you are a brave and open minded person So, to actually put a thread like this in here.. It opens up a new box of possibilities.

Wayne Dyer is actually slick bald.. hehe And he is making joke of it himself in one of his seminars. But he has a happy life and is inspiring a lot of people.. He is a little bit religious but that ok, I guess we all are in some way or another..
People can listen to a lot of Deepak and Wayne audiobooks in the pirate community.. Try the torrent network. .bittorrent ;)

I hope this could be of interest to someone in here.. Its deep and heavy stuff so I don't actually think we will have much of response in this thread So ;)
And i will try to find the article about the water-crystal science. Its really cool!! But now its pokertime!!!!! :hairy: ALL-IN!!

The belief system in people is like a fad, easy come easy go. We want so much but are prepared to give very little in return and give up when we see no results further debunking theories that we could probably modulate hair loss as well as disease and a host of other human-traits.

And maybe you are right Flight4Hairs; maybe reading these forums installs a negative belief system in our minds, whether you are concious of it or not (subconcious).

It is common knowledge that pesimism breads pesismism. If you surround yourself with people who are negative thinkers or pesamistic then you will often fall into line yourself becoming just as negative and just as pesamistic as the next person.

Why?

Well thinking poorly, thinking negatively, being a pesimist is EASY, oh so EASY! It requires no commitment, no exertion of energy and simple of all it requires no TIME.

This has becmoe a way of life for so many people, ingrained into the very fabric of human-kind and it's fking sad to say the least.

Ok, ok, so there are some truely happy people out there and even the large majority of people tend to look happy or at least potray an element of happiness through a good circle of friends, job, social life, money, family but let me tell you something each and everyone of these people probably loves to b-i-t-c-h as soon as they get the chance.

You know when people gather around and "complain", about life, about their friends, about that person they dont know, about the bills, about George W. Bush, about...about...about... Well about ANYTHING.

Is this s-h-i-t programmed into our DNA or what? Seems like it.

Fact of the matter is the above principles apply right here in this forum. Each of us searching for an answer, a solution, the miracle cure - often not caring of the cost, the endless amounts of money we spew forth in lust of hair or anything for that matter, nice clothes, nice car, nice house, so that other people can view us in a light that we think they want us to be.

Well thats bullsh!t

Further more because we subject ourselves to these forums day in day out, we see lots of failed stories, some success stories and even some success stories that end up failing. It's a jolt to the system and we are all craving that new success story that rejuvinates our hope.

Lusting for hope through someone elses success (often temporary at that) leads us into a circle that is viciously harsh on our minds. We have extreme highs with extreme lows, no consistency. Because of this our bodies are hormonaly, chemically, neuroligically flying all over the place crashing, burning, rising again only to crash again - worsening the effect on our hair.

Throw in some Propecia, Dutasteride, minoxidil, Saw P, Herbs, Topicals, Minerals, Vitamins, poor lifestyles, substance abunce and you end up with people like us. F-u-c-k-e-d up in quest of solution that doesn't lay out side but inside.

I like to think that one day we could utilise each of our thoughts per day, in excess of 50,000 (the experts say) to balance our bodies and improve our mental well being.

Imagine that, of all the thoughts you had every day aside from those which are designed for general human function, if those thoughts were entirely positive, praise worthy, full of substance and worth - just for one minute think of the end results.

If I end this post by saying it's impossible for someone losing their hair to think entirely positive without being negative then this statement in itself negative and a contridiction onto itself.

The reason why I talk of such things above is because until man kind can harness each and every thought, unlocking the powers of the human body will never be fully realised in the extent we are trying to propogate. So therefore hair loss, cancer, brain tumors, infectious disease will run rampant in human kind.

Next time you catch yourself in a situation full of negativity whether its you or with other people step back and realise how many useless thoughts you are wasting on something often meaningless. Lost thoughts of positivity that could have help you become self-centred, in tune and left with an inate ability to heal ones body, hair or otherwise.

*btw... you play party poker? or..

bah some people are just products of society.

Excactly.. Am not surprised by the response of people here :)
People dont like to think,, in fact its one of the things that most people are scared of..
So So... I guess we should just grab som packs of beers and sit in front of the idiot-box and look at some commercials, p**rn or some crap series about flight-disasters or something like that to feed our brain with..

Maybe a overdose of minoxidil and dutas too would do :freaked:
Or is it spironolactone that is the most trendy stuff this days!!

Am not playing partypoker becouse I play mostly freerolls and partypoker need you to deposit some cash to get partypoints for their freeroll..

I play mostly on the Prima network.. NordicBet, Dreampoker, 7-sultans poker, purpe lounge etc...

Yes, I can use Dr. Masaru Emoto´s work as a piece of paper to clean my ***.

You´ll do much better having a couple of beers and watching some TV than paying attention to that crap.
