Hi guys,

I have run out of my Minoxidil 7% with 0.01% Retin-A (given by Ashley & Martin - who were way too expensive and am now looking at getting this stuff on my own)

My question: I cannot find, for the life of me, Minoxidil online that is 7% with 0.01% Retin-A (retinoic acid).

There's 2%, 5% and 15% for sale but none come with Retin-A. I am presuming the 5% will suffice, but what is the benefit of Retin-A and is it required? I dont want to get on a minoxidil solution without it if I require it?

Also, what is Azelaic acid? A lot of the stuff on ebay/amazon comes with it. I have no clue what it is and my previous solutions didn't have it.

Also is rogaine the same thing? Is it worth it or are you just paying for the brand name?

and lastly: I was using a liquid solution, 2mL daily directly onto my scalp. The rogaines (if the same/similar to what I am using?) come in foams. how does that work? the liquid drops worked well I just applied them and within an hour my hair and scalp was dry-ish and fine. I try to keep my hair dry by applying it only to the scalp. I dont want a foam that wets the hair / makes me look like I'm wearing a gel product.

Thanks in advance,

I hope I can get some good replies soon as I need to buy this stuff ASAP as I'm going to be travelling.

minoxidilsolutions.com has a combo of retin-a and 5% minoxidil with azelaic acid.

retin-a helps absorb the minoxidil quicker

azelaic acid is supposed to help lower the scalp dht like a topical anti-androgen (this has not been proven), however many companies do make the minoxidil and azelaic acid combinations as they have become really popular after Dr. Lee's xandrox brand which is now sold on the aforementioned website

how important is the retin-a? my minoxidil solution over the last 5 years had 0.01% retin-a... i just bought some of the kirklands (i think thats how its spelled) on ebay yesterday but pretty sure it has no retin-a

ive seen and heard peoplewho have used retin-a with minoxidil and swear by it, on the other hand, I've also experienced people saying it sucks.

you can try minoxidil max 5% minoxidil and azelaic acid. I dont think that retin-a helps a considerable amount because I've been using it for the past five months but its up to you
